Since childhood, I’ve been fascinated by the power of communication to connect, influence, and even challenge power. (As a preteen, whenever I perceived a parental injustice, I’d grab the dictionary my Granny gave me for my 11th birthday and present my case—in writing!)
Today, I still have that dictionary—and over two decades of experience using communication to inform, inspire, challenge, and influence. As a seasoned communicator, strategist, and campaign project manager dedicated to supporting small businesses and mission-driven organizations, I love helping entrepreneurs, leaders, and teams align their workflows, amplify their message, and achieve their strategic goals. The Short Story
Sarah Marquez in Liverpool, UK, where some of her maternal ancestors fled to escape the Great Famine. Her ancestry—Irish and New Mexican Hispano (Spanish conquistador and Native American), the colonized and the colonizer—is one of her greatest sources of learning and motivation to build more just, equitable, and accountable organizations and communities.
